Make Money with Inbox Dollars

I joined Inbox Dollars in March of 2010 because I am on a mission to get back to the way I originally started to make money online - by completing surveys and offers on GPT sites. I'm so thankful that I came across Inbox Dollars. Inbox Dollars is an easy survey system that I came across that will help you to quickly get the hang of survey sites and begin to make money online.

The great thing about Inbox Dollars is that there is a $5.00 sign up bonus just for joining. This was a huge perk for me because I love sites that help you to make money right away just by signing up. After registering with Inbox Dollars on their website I received a confirmation link that I had to click on to verify that I had given them the correct email address.

After clicking on the link I was taken back to the Inbox Dollars website and offered the opportunity to start to make money right away by completing my profile. There were also other survey opportunities available on my dashboard page that paid anywhere from $0.50 up to $40.00 and I was able to start completing them right away. Naturally I started to complete my profile, complete surveys and clicking on offers.

Inbox Dollars is a site that is really easy to use. I had a really easy time getting a sense of the format of the site and it was really simple to just click and fill out the surveys. The directions that they gave on the site were very clear and thorough. After reading through the directions, I felt very confident that I could follow their simple steps and start to make money right away by completing surveys.

Another great feature of Inbox Dollars is that you can make money by doing more than just filling out surveys and completing offers. Inbox Dollars will pay you to play games, shop, and refer your friends and family to their website. Once you sign up you can email your referral link to your friends and family. You will also receive daily emails from them that pay you just for confirming that you read their emails. You will also be invited to complete money making surveys that match your unique profile. Inbox Dollars really is a simple way to make money online.

Lesson #1

Okay, I learned a bit lesson this weekend dealing with Freebie sites. Freebie sites is kind of like GPT sites only it's...well different. I'm sure you've seen freebie sites before. They're the ones that say, "Get a free laptop." Then you are directed to fill out offers to get credits and after that you have to refer like 7 people to that site to do that same thing that you did and then you will get that laptop.

Sounds illegitimate and too good to be true. But this is really a good and true opportunity. To not go all out into the long drawn out discussion about this, I got involved in doing this. There are people that will actually pay you to be their referral and complete offers so they can get their freebie. I went green on a few sites and made about $50. Then I decided to go ahead and green on four more sites in one day. BIG PROBLEM. I would never recommend that anyone do this. I completed these offers and then was accused of fraud by the site owners. It is all one big mix-up because I have Cricket Wireless as my internet service provider and they do not assign a single IP address to each customer. Each time that I log into the internet I have a completely different IP address. I don't know why that is, but because of that I think that it is affecting my offers crediting on some GPT sites as well. I am not halting doing GPT offers and focusing on doing surveys on Inbox Dollars and other survey sites that come to my inbox. I am afraid that I will put a lot of time into these things and not get credit because of this stupid IP address issue. So in the end this weekend I lost $50. That sucks.

I am going to be changing to Cox Communications hopefully within the next few weeks and that will help resolve the whole IP problem because I will have a unique IP address. Please learn from my mistake and check with your internet service provider that you have a unique IP address prior to starting GPT, survey, or freebie sites.

My Progress

Wow, things have been busy. I have been signing up for survey sites let and right. I'm also really starting to think about how I want this blog to be. So let's start with the first statement.

I have signed up for at least 20 or more survey sites and I am making some money at it. The thing is that I am not organized at this point...which is a downfall and I can't tell you where all of my money is. I have money spread all over the place from sign up bonuses and earnings. My goal this week is to get things organized. That should be easy since I am on Spring Break.

One thing that I am going to do is create a spreadsheet to keep track of the survey sites that I work on each day and also to keep track of how much time I spend doing each site and the amount of money I make on each site, and which offers I do on each site. That was a long sentence...I know. But I really need to do that for two reasons:

1. I am realizing that when I do certain GPT sites not all of my offers are crediting. Yup, you read that right. Sometimes that just happens and I don't know why. But I'm going to start keeping track better so that I need to I can dispute those things and get my money if they don't credit by filing a non-credit request with that individual GPT company.

2. I'll know how much money I am making each day.

Okay, and the other thing that I decided that I am going to start really paying attention to is how I layout and come across in this blog. There are so many GPT sites out there that just list the names of different GPT and survey sites and then ask you click on their banners or referral links. That's a way to make money (through referrals) but I want to be so much more than that. So I plan on sharing my successes and failures with GPT sites, telling you which ones work and how to make money on them, and also sharing information about my life.

Hope you'll stay with me through the journey.

Challenge Problems - Rewind

Okay, I had a few personal problems going on this weekend and I didn't really put the time I was supposed to into this challenge. In fact, aside from Friday night I haven't done anything really. I did signup for a whole lot of GPT sites and I made $11.50 just for signing up for these sites. So far I am a member of these sites:

They have a $5.00 sign on bonus so that was a nice plus! Want to make a quick $5.00? Just sign up with them by clicking on the banner above.

The signup bonus is actually $1.50. I think they just need to update their banner. Anyway, you know what to do if you want that signup bonus.

No bonus, but good offers and nice payout.

Survey Savvy This is a place that you have to get invited to take surveys. Think about when you go to the mall and those people ask you to do surveys. I've never done this yet. I'm hoping to get invited for one soon. Someone I know does them and she has made $195 after doing six surveys.

No signup bonus but another good site with high paying offers.

Another great site.

Greedy Clicks

Although I'm not greedy, I figured I could make some decent money on a site like this.

So as you can see. I signed up for a lot of sites. I'm going to go now and try some offers. I'll be writing a review of each of these sites in the coming days and I'm extending my challenge because I haven't had a far chance at it this weekend.

$100 Challenge this Weekend

I'm a person who is deadline oriented and in order to keep on top of things, such as this blog and GPT sites, I need to set goals for myself. I think that I can make $100 this weekend. In order to do this I have to be strategic about it. So here's what I'm going to do.

1. Join new GPT sites. There are many sites that pay you just to join so I'm going to do some research on Google and sign up for ones with high payouts, a good reputation, and sign on bonuses.

2. Strategize my offers. Sometimes you will see the same offers on multiple sites but one site might be paying more than others. For example, GPT site A will pay you $10.00 for signing up for a Netflix trial and GPT B will pay you $15.00 for signing up for that same trial. The thing about GPT is that you can only do an offer or survey once because it would be considered fraud to try to signup more than once just to get the money. So anyway, in this example it is obvious that I would sign up for this offer with GPT site B and make an extra $5.00. I also need to pay attention to incentives in calculating which sites to work for.

3. Log my hours. I want to know how much time it is going to take me to make this $100.00. Being that I'm starting this again after many years of not doing it at all I'm sure that it is going to take me longer than it would someone who has been doing this for a while...but we'll see.

So please come around this weekend to catch up on my progress with the $100 Challenge.

Tips to Maximize Profits and Save Time

Here are some tips to help you save lots of time and make more money $$$ -- which is the whole point of all of this, right?

You really need to be clearing your cookies after each and every offer. That is how you ensure that your offers are going to credit. It is a necessary step. You can use the one that is in your browser but I recommend that you download CCLeaner. Keep the box up while you are doing offers and then when it's time to clear cookies just click "run cleaner" and it clears off all the unnecessary files, cookies, cache etc on your computer. This is an awesome FREE program that I have been using for years and it keeps my hard drive very happy.

Also, I've repeated this many times so if you haven't downloaded Roboform. This is a great time saver. It will fill survey and offer forms with one click of the mouse. That means more money in your pocket.

Other than that I recommend that you pay attention to ALL contests and incentives on the site that you are doing your offers on. So for example if it's March 13th and you have time to do offers but then you see that on March 14th there is an incentive where you will get $1.00 for each 10 surveys that you complete on a GPT site -- then of course you are going to wait until the 14th of March to complete your offers so that way you can earn more money. See how it works? It's just logic. Remember, there are no deadlines and the surveys will stick around for a little while before they are deleted from the GPT site. My mottos is to work smart...not hard. But I'm sure you've heard that before.

Well that's it for now...good luck :)

How do you get started?

Since you're here I'm sure you're contemplating whether or not to join a GPT site or maybe you're ready to jump straight in. Please feel free to check out the sites that are listed on my blog. These are sites that I am a member of and I have experience with them and their pay structures. These are also the sites that I will be talking about in my blog in the future.

Deal Barbie Pays is one of my tried and true sites. I'm so glad that my account is stll active with them after being away from so long. Things have changed recently. Christina is no longer the owner and a new lady named Barbara is. From what I hear she is pretty respected in the GPT and freebie trading world. I am sure that she will continue to make Deal Barbie Pays an awesome site with awesome payouts.

The thing that I love about this site is that the offers pay higher $$ than most sites, you can earn prizes by earning "signs" with every that you complete. You can then use those signs to earn gift cards, upgrade your membership, and so much more. There are also jackpots and games on the site. It seems like there is always some kind of incentive going on just for being there. RIGHT NOW THEY ARE HAVING A $5.00 SIGN ON BONUS just for joining.

This site is also huge on incentives, bonus, and contests -- which are a great way to help you increase your earnings. Not sure what I mean? Here is a list March 2010 Contests from the site:

March 1-6

Each animal is worth a hidden amount between 1 cent and 25cents. This will be your bonus for the week multiplied by the number of offers you completed. So if you get the 10 cent bonus and complete 10 offers you will get $1 bonus.

Your selection must be made by the 9pm on the 27th.

March 28-31 (Contest will end at 11PM)

Every 10 offers completed gets a random promo code between 25 cents and $10. No limit on number of promo codes earned.

As you can see, it is pretty easy to earn even more money by all of the incentives that are offered on this site. If you are stratetgic and choose to complete more offers on the days of these contests you can easily increase your earnings. Deal Barbie Pays is the very first GPT site that I signed up for and I'm still sticking with them.

So are you ready to start? Here's three simple steps:

1. Go to Deal Barbie Pays.

2. Sign up today and recieve a $5.00 sign up bonus.

3. Read through the tutorial and start making money. And be sure to come back to my blog for help on making more money with GPTS.

That's it. GPT is so simple and sweet. Seriously. I do want to recommend to that you start off slowly. Visit the site often, spend a bit of time getting used to how it works and learning how to be successful with the free surveys. One things is for sure...you will be amazed at how quickly your earnings will grow.

Money for Surveys

Let's talk about the free surveys that will pay you money on GPT sites. You complete free surveys that take anywhere from 1 - 3 minutes to complete. They are pretty simple forms and if you are using Roboform, which you should be if you want to be fast and make more money. Roboform is FREE to use.

For each survey that you complete you will get paid anywhere from $.10 to $2.50 for completing it. The average payouts that I see range from $0.50 to $1.25. Now some of you might not think that this sounds like a lot but let me remind you that you are only spending 1-3 minutes doing these surveys. So if you have RoboForm you get to that page and click on your RoboForm toolbar and you're done. Some surveys ask for just your email address and names and others ask for a little more info. Each survey company (remember, the advertiser) has its own set of rules and I will tell you about them later. Anyway, once you are done with the survey the company will let the GPT site owner know that you have completed their survey and you will get paid. You are usually credited for completing a survey within 24 hours. Sometimes it is instant though. Pretty simple, huh? You can do very well by completing free surveys and offers ($200-$400 a month). I try to do as many free offers as I can. They're so simple and it really adds up.

So just to get you guys thinking a little about how much you can make with this. Let's say that you are on average taking 2 - 5minutes to complete surveys and they're ranging from $0.50 to $1.00 a survey. At that rate that means that you can complete 12-60 surveys in an hour and that you would earn anywhere from roughly $ 6.00 to $60.00 in doing so. Not bad for not having to pay any money at all and doing very simply work.

Welcome to My Journey

Hello everyone. Being that I'm a full time student, mom to four kids under the age of 4, and going through some rough financial times I've decided that it's time for me to go back to what is easy and works. I started doing GPT sites right after my daughter was born in 2006 as a way to earn extra money. I did get successful at it and easily made $200 a month without really knowing much about what I was doing. Fast forward four years and I have done other types of internet work then. I got heavily involved in transcription (which by the way helps me to churn out articles at 90 WPM). But after my husband got laid off a year ago, I decided to go back to school to finish my degree in teaching (and I'll be done in December 2010 -- Yeah!)

So here are the top 10 reason why I'm becoming a GPT Mama...again.

10. I think that if a student with four kids under the age of four (I have 9 1/2 month old twins) can do this then anyone can.

9. My family really needs some extra money and I want to chart my progress.

8. I have a goal of making $1000 a month in GPT money....more is welcome and would be great!

7. I want to help others out there to make money. People are always asking me how to make money online. I want a place where I can just send them so they can follow the steps that I took.

6. I really do enjoy helping people and giving away free information.

5. More money will allow me to pay off some bills, get out of debt, and by a house. Hey, I dream BIG!!

4. I enjoy not having to work for someone else. Even though I'm going to be teaching once I get my degree I am an entrepreneur at heart. I figure this will be the best of both worlds...that sounds so much like Hanna Montana.

3. I want to go on more vacations...need money for that, right?

2. Money is tight right now and we need some money. Blunt, but true.

1. GPT sites are easy and there are no deadlines. I'm my own boss and I can work when I want.

So the main thing that I am going to do different this time about is obviously blog about my progress. You'll get to see everything that I do here to reach my goal of earning $1000 a month. I'm sure I'll do a lot of things right along the way, but I'm sure I'll also make some mistakes. The good thing about you being here and watching is that you'll be able to avoid making the mistakes that I make and you'll profit if you decide to follow my steps to success, which I'm sure I'll make because GPT is so simple and easy to do.

Another thing that I'm going to do different this time around is to treat my GPT stuff like a business. The last time that I did it I was like, "Oh, I'm taking some surveys for cash." No...well, that is what I'll still be doing but I'm going to get really methodical about it. I'm putting on my entrepreneur brain and really digging into making this a sustainable, viable business that will produce profits and residual income.

Interested in watching my journey? I hope so. It'll be fun :)
